Sonia's Jerk

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Sonia’s Cafe served hands-down the best oxtail and jerk chicken we ever had and I’ve had a lot. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The cabbage was so good I found myself low-key guarding it from my own family. What makes this place even more special is Sonia herself. When we came back before our flight home (because yes, it was that good), she was so warm, kind and accommodating. It felt more like visiting family than dining out. This place is a true gem — full of heart, flavor, and soul. Don’t walk, run to Sonia’s Cafe. You’ll dream about it long after you’ve left!

Sonia's was amazing. The jerk chicken was seasoned to perfection, and so moist. The sauces were great on top, I especially loved the spicy one. Coleslaw and rice/peas sides were also very good. Big portion and extremely kind people. I 100% recommend, and will be going back. Absolutely delicious.

Sonia’s Jerk served the best oxtail and jerk chicken I’ve ever had. The oxtails were flavorful, tender, and very fresh. It also came with extra juice, and the sides were to die for. Ms.Sonia was also a delight to meet. She was kind, inviting, and knew how to make you feel right at home. It truly doesn’t get better than Sonia’s Jerk. Truly a 100/10.

We got curry chicken and jerk chicken, both very good. Service was great, they tried to keep the flies away but they still swarmed us, very hot to sit, I would recommend getting it to go and sit more on the beach chairs in more shade than on the patio. Sonia was there and cooking, very kind.

Every 5* review you're reading is correct. Sonia's food isn't just cooked and seasoned to perfection - it's coated with the love and passion which she has built her business on and this shows. Sonia is not your average host and chef! Sonia has been cooking here for 20 years and there is a reason she is still here! She's also a bit mad which adds to the vibe! We had the chicken curry (incredible) and the jerk ribs which were straight off the smoker. Incredible flavours. We had a taster of the oxtail soup which I'll be having tomorrow at my next visit. Amazing food which isn't laced with sugar. Proper rice and peas & UNBELIEVABLE pepper sauce! If you're in the area - you're mad not to try it. Love this place

We went to Sonia’s two days, it was her and I believe her son both days, they were very nice, we had the jerk chicken one day and the ribs the next day, it was sooo good! We both highly recommended, the meat is straight off the smoker and the mac and cheese was smoked too, home made sauces! It’s like a 10min walk from Margaritaville and way better food than the touristy spots around here. And the portions sizes are big, we didn’t finish our meals either day and we were hungry.

WOW! We were blown away by how tender, meaty, and crispy the jerk ribs and jerk chicken were. Exceeded all expectations, and we ate everything clean to the bone. The portion sizes were very generous, and with the sides of rice & peas and cassava & bun we were happily stuffed. The view and vibes of the beach was amazing, would recommend you stop by!
